Student Government Association (SGA)

As a student government representative in the Rose-Hulman senate, I am responsible for communicating critical information to my constituents, as well as elevating their concerns and representing their opinions on campus-wide issues. While in SGA, I helped pass multiple reforms and fund new programs on campus that have had positive wide-reaching impacts. For example, the Rose-Hulman bike-share program was funded, allowing students to rent bikes for trips around campus that are too short to drive but a little too long to walk, or for a quick trip down Heritage Trail into town. We also passed reforms to modify the campus catering menus making gluten-free and vegan options available at every meal, while also ensuring classic meal favorites were not removed.

Pi Kappa Alpha

Pi Kappa Alpha, Iota Delta, Class of 2022

As a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, I have formed lifelong friendships, given back to the community, and developed my leadership skills. I have had multiple roles on the Assets Committee, which is charged with taking care of the house, grounds, and automotive assets. I was in charge of our firetrucks for two years and coordinated our workdays for one year. During workday, we conduct multiple projects to improve our assets, which takes weeks of preparation so that all the tasks have adequate manpower and the right materials to get the job done. I have also been able to give back to our local community through Servants at Work (SAW), by helping to build a ramp for the disabled, and to the wider community through Habitat for Humanity service trips.ps.

Bonfire Committee

Completed construction of 2022 bonfire

I have been working on the Rose-Hulman Bonfire Committee for two years and have been on the executive board for one year. This committee designs the annual Rose-Hulman bonfire, coordinating and leading its construction, and — once its completed — lighting it.  It is a fantastic tradition that I am happy to be a part of. I will let the pictures do the explaining.
