As a student government representative in the Rose-Hulman senate, I was responsible for communicating critical information to my constituents, as well as elevating their concerns and representing their opinions on campuswide issues. While in SGA, I helped pass multiple reforms and fund new programs on campus that have had positive, wide-reaching impacts. For example, the Rose-Hulman bike-share program was funded, allowing students to rent bikes for trips around campus that are too short to drive but a little too long to walk, or for a quick trip down Heritage Trail into town. We also passed reforms to modify the campus catering menus making gluten-free and vegan options available at every meal, while also ensuring classic meal favorites were not removed.
